If you were medically hurt and unprepared why did you retake twice?

the cancel was because of testing conditions. we had a black out during section 3.

oh you mean the two crap scores. i wanted to get into law school that previous cycle desperately so i took it hoping for a miracle.

No why did you keep taking the test if you were not able to study because of a medical condition? I dont get it

No clue, but HYS, from the few things I've heard, may still average/look down on retake.

I imagine they look at 4 retakes a lot differently than 2, just a speculation though

The cancel is the february one, i mixed it up since I did not want to be outed. i had to get dialysis 3 hours a day before my 173 so that combined with school and work was a bit rough on me. anyone else have some advice? i could not find anyone else who has taken the lsat this many times lol

Maybe. The facts that you took the test 5 times and that you have that 164 will not bode well for you.

I wouldn't explain anything if I were you; it's going to sound like you're making excuses. Just ride with your scores.

You almost assuredly won't get HYS anyway, so don't jeopardize CCN.

I am by no means an expert, but what I think is ironic is that you may have had a better chance with just the 3.85/170 than with the four retakes. You are kind of like a Shakespearean Tragic Hero of the law school application process. Hindsight, of course, is 20/20. I think you deserve recognition, though. It takes a special kind of person to get a 170 and decide it isn't good enough.

That being said, I agree with Upton Sinclair. I'm not really sure what effect, if any, an addendum would have at this point. It may even be a negative one. Write one if you want, but HYS is still a stretch, I think.

Still, even if you don't make HYS, you have stellar numbers and will definitely land somewhere in the top 14, probably top 10.

I wish you well with your health, and good luck with the applications.

I know of someone who got into CLS with 4 LSAT attempts (the 4th was 171). If I were you, I'd find a better excuse than "I was sick the first 3 times", and you should get into one of CCN.

I'm aware. I'm just entertained by the self-deprecation.

Makes more sense. I was shocked that it seemed like you didn't. I also didn't bother to read the post you quoted. :P

If I were an admissions dean and I read an addendum that said you were sick for the three times and couldn't study I'd think you were an idiot for making the same mistake three times.
