3.85 GPA/153 LSAT AA male
Hi. I took the December LSAT and did not do so well. What range of schools should I be looking into? Is there a particular region I would stand a better chance? Which schools are a good reach schools in my situation? (I know HYS are not in this equation) *sigh*

You probably don't want to hear this, but you should retake. As a URM, getting up to the 160s can mean serious $$$ at great schools. Don't squander that GPA. I retook, and it ended up working out great (164 --> 169, ~3.9 GPA). Invest the time and make a 160+, then apply early next cycle.

You have a strong GPA which honestly will get you in the door. Applying a bit "late" is going to hurt you. You would def get into schools in the top 50. Possibly sneak in the door at 19-25.

I am currently working, and out of school for a year. I have a had a chance to work with legal departments at my alma mater (U. of South Carolina). I figured retaking was going to be an option, but I have been HORRIBLE at standardized test my whole life (seriously...since early grade school). Even my SAT score is nothing special.
I was looking at schools in the Virginia and New York Region Mostly.
Fordham
William & Mary
Brooklyn
Vandy (maybe?)
to name a few. any other options?
