.
GPA and 1st LSAT slightly fudged.
Should I wait out the cycle?
Here's my short list:
1. University of Pennsylvania
2. Northwestern (for JD/MBA)
3. UVA
4. University of Toronto
5. Michigan
Reaches:
1. Stanford
2. NYU
3. Chicago
Would not attend:
1. Cornell
2. Boalt
3. Vandy
4. UCLA
Possibilities:
1. UT Austin (I'm a Texas resident)
2. UBC (I want to work in Asia)
I want to work in a big world class, diverse alpha world city: NYC, Chicago, DC, Toronto (only those 4).

Why is Chicago not a reach?

3. 3 internships, lots of community service, in college, work at an NGO in China now
Also, I don't know why you don't want UMich if Chicago is one of your target destinations.

Cuz I'm at least 2 below median, should it be?megaTTTron wrote:Why is Chicago not a reach?
Good point about Michigan. However, I have no connection to Chicago, so won't getting placed there be hard if I don't go to school there?

can you get your discharge upgraded and get some GI bill?

This is very hard to do, especially for officers. You have to prove that your chain of command "made a mistake." The burden of proof for nonpunitive discharges is quite low, so even the fact that the evidence wouldn't hold up in court doesn't mean much.mala2 wrote:can you get your discharge upgraded and get some GI bill?
I'm certainly going to try, now that I've gotten the LSAT finished. But it's a long-shot.

You want Chi, just apply. You have nothing to lose but the app fee.niederbomb wrote:Cuz I'm at least 2 below median, should it be?megaTTTron wrote:Why is Chicago not a reach?

Should I wait out the cycle? I need to decide pretty quickly.

bump
Do I have a shot at NYU this cycle? I'm above their 75th GPA and 1 point below their LSAT median - but they average LSAT's, don't they?
