Let me guess, retake? I'm hoping to go for a T14 school, so I was wondering which ones will take multiple LSATs, and which ones average or only consider the highest.
In the meantime, with my 162 by itself, what are my chances at these?
Cornell
UT
Vandy
WashU
GWU
Notre Dame
Emory
UNC
Wake Forest
UGA
So I have 3 questions:
1) What range will I need to score on the retake to get into the T14?
2) Which T14 schools will be most favorable towards a retake?
3) With the 162 by itself, what are my chances at the schools listed above?

If you score significantly higher on your retake (i.e. 170ish) just about no one will care about your 162. If you don't score significantly higher, your chances at the T14 are pretty low regardless.

168 gives you a good shot at Cornell.
169 will be a few other low T14's.
170 should give you a chance at most of the lower T14.
172+ gives you a shot at CCN.
Only HYS and some of CCN care about retakes, and with CCN they are slowly shifting away from caring.

Re: 162/3.79
Thanks for the responses. Just for some additional info, I took the October test but cancelled it. Between the October and December tests I did essentially no work at all for the LSAT because I was just focused on keeping my GPA up. I'm confident that with more studying I should be able to raise my score significantly. Also, my GPA should be a 3.81 after this semester. Will this provide any sort of a boost, getting over the 3.8 threshold?

Your GPA boost won't matter unless it somehow gets bumped over a school's median. At the moment I think you are above the median at most of the T14 except maybe HYS.leemalk wrote:Thanks for the responses. Just for some additional info, I took the October test but cancelled it.
