Re: 3.95. 164
I'm assuming you are not a URM. Retake in June and apply next cycle. Do not, I repeat, do not waste that GPA.poi wrote:Numbers are slightly fudged, but that's the general picture.
Decent PS and softs. LSN dictates that I have a tiny shot at a few t14. Go for it or retake june and apply next cycle?

A shame really, a higher LSAT would all but guarantee top 14, no option of retaking?

Don't fudge your numbers, esp. the LSAT. 1 point can make or break you.poi wrote:Numbers are slightly fudged, but that's the general picture.

I have pretty much identical stats, and so does another TLSer friend... we're both applying and throwing out a huge net. Didn't get apps out until mid/late November, so haven't got a ton of responses yet either way.
Yeah, a 164 DEFINITELY is not the ideal, but I'm glad I didn't have the option of retaking in December (all local test centers were full), 'cuz it sounds like a bunch of people got murdered by the LG section. Anyways, not sure if you're wanting reassurance, but I'm holding out hope myself. Good luck.

Boat could be an option if you have great WE and strong softs. If you can add some kind of unique experience or perspective to the class, I would say send in an app. It might be a reach, but it's only $90, and if you get in you won't have to wait out another year. If your CV is average, then it's not really an option. Boalt seems to forgive weak LSAT numbers only for otherwise stellar candidates. Great GPA though! Best of luck in the cycle.poi wrote:not URM. I was sort of hoping that the slightly more LSAT forgiving schools like Boalt (hailmary!) might give me the time of day if my PS is extraordinarily written or something. One can hope. Judging from the advice I think I'll just wait until next cycle though.
profiz- why retake in Feb if it's a super long shot for current cycle (assuming you are also pushing for t14) and too early for next?
