3.48/164---chances
Retook in December, expecting a 165-167.
Upward grade trend.
~20+ months cumulative WE (teaching+science research)
Multilingual
Schools:
GWU
BU
BC
Fordham
American
Rutgers-Newark and Camden
Temple
Seton Hall
Brooklyn
Cardozo
Fee waivers on the last four. Also was wondering which schools that I have a chance at would give me the best shot at federal gov't positions and prestigious PI (can't bank on biglaw in this range)
Thanks

Yea I don't really want to work in the South (outside maybe NO or NC/VA) at all. I hated Atlanta and Houston when I went there, and I have absolutely no interest living in smaller townsBarbie wrote:Go to UGA

for srs, apply to the top 4 but don't expect much. The rest of them you'll get in but they're pretty meh. Apply to more schools in between.

you'll prob get $ at Wake or maybe UNC. Wash & Lee is free so you might as well try there.

I pretty much want to live between Boston and NOVA and no farther west than Philly. Any recommendations in the region?Barbie wrote:for srs, apply to the top 4 but don't expect much. The rest of them you'll get in but they're pretty meh. Apply to more schools in between.

Thanks---how about their pull in the mid atlantic or northeast? It almost sucks growing up in this area because even the low tier 1's are so damned competitive.Barbie wrote:you'll prob get $ at Wake or maybe UNC. Wash & Lee is free so you might as well try there.

Yup there's a big difference between 164 and 167, still have a chance but make sure that score doesn't go lower.

Thats true. You'll prob get $ from the schools you list. If I were you, ask for fee waivers and cast a wide net. That's what I did (3.3/163) and now I'm going to Illinois with some $ (somehow, don't ask me). Having middle numbers like ours can be hit or miss. Just apply everywhere you'll consider going.bigkahuna2020 wrote:Thanks---how about their pull in the mid atlantic or northeast? What about part time at Fordham/GW? Any chances or has the inclusion in US News made it equally hard?

If you have a 164 / 165, you can cross off GWU, BU, BC, and probably Fordham.
A 167 is a different story.

Shoot UMD and George Mason apps. I think I would have really liked GMU. I visited UMD and it was just ok but has a great rep in Baltimore and throughout MD which has some decent smaller cities like Annapolis and Rockville which you might like. Other than the high taxes and dumb gun control laws I love living in MD.bigkahuna2020 wrote:I pretty much want to live between Boston and NOVA and no farther west than Philly.
