Chances at UVA Ed next cycle (3.96, 166) Forum

Out of state. Solid LORs, 1-2 yrs w e @ f100. Berk u grad, phi beta kappa.

Best shot at t10 = wait until next cycle and Ed to UVA the week the ap goes live? Barring a higher lsat retake (reg'd for Feb). If I do this what are my chances at getting in? Also, in general, how does this UVA ed usually fare for reverse splitters w 3.96ish GPA who apply ED in the first two weeks. Curious.


Eg) 3.96 - 164 30% chance of admission?
3.96 - 165 40%
3.96- 166 50%
3.96 167 70%
?? i just made those numbers ^^ up; jw what TLS's thoughts are.

Yes, I know its sticker, and yes I know I'll likely need top40% to have a shot at CA biglaw. But, I'm down to make a 190k blackjack bet for a 40% shot of the win.

I'll go harder than a shot of patron, increase my typing speed to >120WPM, read all E & Es once before fall semester starts, begin outlining from scratch the 1st week of class, commit epic ammounts of black letter law to memory, and act "chill" about it the whole time (using words such as "bro" and "mang" so know that no one knows it's coming until I out issue spot them in Dec--- stealth grinder/ Autoadmit status.

Looking at some of the LSN UVA ED data from this cycle I'd say you had a pretty good shot at it. That being said - if you can up your LSAT a couple of points you might have a shot at Boalt (although their application process seems less formulaic) which I would imagine would be better for CA Biglaw (haven't looked at the numbers of UVA v. Boalt though).
