What are my chances
U of Illinois
molecular and cellular biology major (MCB)
3.74 GPA
168 LSAT
Research, community service, and tutoring for EC's
What are my chances at T14. I'm seriously considering Northwestern and U of Chicago.
What other schools should I add? I also have 3 LOR's all from science professors. Also, will my science curriculum look more favorable due to it's challenging nature?

Cornell might be a semi-lock for you

You don't have the numbers for chicago. If you don't have WE then NU is likely out. I would aim for lower T14.

+1. And regarding getting a GPA boost based on major, you have a 3.7, do you want them to consider that a 4.0 because you are a science major?FuManChusco wrote:You don't have the numbers for chicago. If you don't have WE then NU is likely out. I would aim for lower T14.

It will look favorable but it won't pull any miracles for you. In at Cornell. Out at the rest.

Re: What are my chances
Thank you for the replies- much appreciated. 168 is based on practice exams I've taken and plan to take the LSAT next year. My GPA should be slightly boosted to 3.76. And no, I am not expecting schools to consider it a 4.0 because it's a science major but because of my GPA, I was hoping I would get a boost to 3.80. If I was to get a 172 LSAT, what are my chances at T14 schools? Thanks again.

In at Cornell/Georgetown/Michigan/Duke/Penn. Good shot at all of CCN. Probably in to Berkeley. UVA OOS RD is a crapshoot.jmachu2 wrote:Thank you for the replies- much appreciated. 168 is based on practice exams I've taken and plan to take the LSAT next year. If you hit 170+ you'll definitely get into several of the lower T14. With a 172, you'll likely get at least one of CCN and most of the lower T14.
