Thanks.

I'm being optimistic because we have extremely similar numbers. You have a decent amount of splitter schools there though so you're doing it right. Update me with your results. I would also think about adding GW and UIUC if you have the money. NU couldn't hurt either if you have WE. Unlikely with a 170 and no ED though. Good luck.jaestro wrote:I'm still looking for more feedback. 2.69 (lsds) gpa. Grade breakdown- 35% A's, 35%B's, 20% F's.

Do the Waterman maneuver. Ed to UVA (you won't get in), then ED to Georgetown Part time.

How easy is it to switch from PT to FT anyway and what are the chances with a sub3/170. I know UVA is impossible under 3 but GULC PT seems more lenient.Desert Fox wrote:Do the Waterman maneuver. Ed to UVA (you won't get in), then ED to Georgetown Part time.

2.7/170 is probably the very edges of what they'd possibly accept, but it is worth a shot.FuManChusco wrote:How easy is it to switch from PT to FT anyway and what are the chances with a sub3/170. I think anyone can switch after year 1.

Gotcha. I wonder how much it hurts since I'm sure you would have to give up 1L summer to take classes if you wanted to switch.Desert Fox wrote:2.7/170 is probably the very edges of what they'd possibly accept, but it is worth a shot.FuManChusco wrote:How easy is it to switch from PT to FT anyway and what are the chances with a sub3/170. 1) GULC PT is getting a lot more selective this year (cut from 130 to 80)Desert Fox wrote:2.7/170 is probably the very edges of what they'd possibly accept, but it is worth a shot.FuManChusco wrote:How easy is it to switch from PT to FT anyway and what are the chances with a sub3/170. 2) PT -> FT switching will now be more difficult to do because of lower courseload (20 units instead of 24), and limited to those with significant change in circumstances.

We were having a nice parade here and you had to bring the rain clouds. Haha. Useful information.im_blue wrote:1) GULC PT is getting a lot more selective this year (cut from 130 to 80)Desert Fox wrote:2.7/170 is probably the very edges of what they'd possibly accept, but it is worth a shot.FuManChusco wrote:How easy is it to switch from PT to FT anyway and what are the chances with a sub3/170. fair enough. any other input? can I consider Temple a safety? Official Guide Lsac has me in 90-100 percentile range, and law school predictor has me at consider. Also, I am wondering why others think I could get into emory? I think LSAC guide has me at 50 percent, but law school predictor has me at deny. Which system of prediction is better? Thanks.

Barring miracles at GU part time, I think that your real hope lies with WUSTL, Illinois, and W&L. Emory is extremely unlikely - and you may need to add more safeties. The lower down in the rankings you go, the less a school requires your LSAT. Why take you when a 3.4/165 improves both medians? But, you may even get money at places like the three I mentioned above.

The system where they'll take an old tire with a 166 and would deny a nobel prize winner with a 165.jaestro wrote:fair enough. any other input? can I consider Temple a safety? Also, I would stay far away from Emory anyway. I decided not to apply to them after I saw their OCI numbers.
