Are you saying that you mentioned an intent to defer in your application? I don't see any mention of work experience in your OP. I think its harder to predict since you didn't go to a top-tier school, chances are not zero but not >~30% IMO

I mentioned that I am willing to defer in my app. I didn't mean to imply that I was considering an IS as WE.

Exactly. Not a prestigious UG, and I don't think 1~2 years is enough to get impressive WE. Therefore, it's possible, but highly unlikely.

What I'm trying to say is don't push apps off for a couple of years *just* to get into HLS. If your reasons are something other than that, though, then nevermind.

3.9+/170-171 does not get HLS without some game-changing soft such as top UG or WE. Retake for a 172-174.
