Hey guys, long time stalker, first time poster. I've been a little busy catching rapists and appearing on late night television. So, here are my stats: 3.92 UGPA, 166 LSAT (retaken from a 161 in 2008). I did TFA for two years, then worked in policy on the state level for a few years in NC. I have an MPA (3.95 GPA) and have published a few articles and won a couple grants. Other softs include a fairly prestigious grad school fellowship, numerous volunteering experiences, and several political campaigns. I think my PS and LORs are probably average to above-average but nothing extraordinary (not that anything beyond the stats really matter anyway).
I'm applying to:
Mega Reach:
NYU
Columbia
Northwestern
UC Berkeley
Mild Reach:
GULC (Part-time)
UVA
Vanderbilt
Target:
UCLA
Texas
GWU
Emory
Fordham
BU
BC
Safety:
UGA
Minnesota
Illinois
So, what are my chances? Any others I should consider?
And, thanks but no thanks on retaking the LSAT. My practice average was 166-170, so I'm happy enough with where I landed.

You can move a couple of the targets to safeties. Emory/fordham/BU should be locks.

Chris Hanson is going to law school?
You might have good luck at UVA if you apply ED. They give a large bonus. You'd probably get Northwestern if you applied ED, but I think you had to have done an interview by the 15th. Maybe they can waive that.

Not positive because they are more holistic, but you seem like a good fit for Berkeley with a high GPA and considering they have the lowest LSAT medians.

Love the name and 'tar. Somehow it doesn't get old for me. That's true lasting ability.

Thanks, James Bond. It was a toss up between Antoine Dodson and the Mobile Leprechaun. Had to represent my home state!
