Harvard Stanford: 3.88/170 (retake)
Non-URM. Good softs, but didn't cure cancer. But here is the kicker...LSAT retakes: 162, 165, then 170. At LSAT median and above GPA, but the retakes are the problem. What percent chance would you give?
I'm guessing 5-10%.

You are actually below both Harvard's medians (3.89/173) and exactly at Stanford's (3.88/170). I would say you have a better chance at Stanford from this but because of their small class size they tend to be somewhat unpredictable.
Edit: and Harvard is not very happy about retakes.

Harvard is definitely not happening. You have a slightly better chance at Stanford, but only very slightly. Like maybe 1% compared to Harvard's 0%.

Ya, I would say almost no chance at Harvard. You are probably going to need some damn good softs to set you apart for Stanford.

I would be more worried about CCN.

Don't worry. I have no real aspirations for HYS. I applied ED to NYU (knowing Columbia probably won't happen and realizing NYU is a better fit for my aspirations). I am actually applying to Harvard as a way to get into a joint degree program with the Kennedy School (they will accept LSATs only if you apply to HLS), and it just made me wonder about Stanford since they are more friendly to numbers like mine.

OP is at the medians of Stanford's (3.88/170).
So why not OP worth a 50/50 to Stanford?

an applicant with numbers right at the medians will need incredible softs to be considered at Stanford...it's much more than a numbers game at HYSW_from China wrote:OP is at the medians of Stanford's (3.88/170).
