166/3.81 GULC part-time?
166 lsat, 3.81 cumulative (3.92 degree)
Avg. or slightly below avg softs and I spent my first year in a community college but transferred to small ranked private business school where my gpa is higher than it was at the cc.
Chances at fordham, bc, bu, usc, ucla, gw?

Any chance at t14 and would it be worth it over staying in the ny, boston, or d.c. market?
Also, any chance for money at fordham?

You have a good chance at a modest (15k) scholarship.sampras13 wrote:Any chance at t14 and would it be worth it over staying in the ny, boston, or d.c. market?

USC's median LSAT (and magic number) is now 167. Last year, most non-URM applicants were WL'd or rejected with 166's. Move up a point, and you see almost universal accepts from 3.7 up.whymeohgodno wrote:Shouldn't OP be in at USC?

Hey, someone previously wrote that I even have a chance at Cornell. How slim are those chances, is there anything I can do to increase them in my application?

It's barely a chance at all. You're gonna get WL. To increase your chances, you can retake the LSAT.sampras13 wrote:Hey, someone previously wrote that I even have a chance at Cornell. How slim are those chances, is there anything I can do to increase them in my application?

Re: 166/3.81 Fordham?
At the risk of sounding like a troll, if you don't retake, I would go to BU as your numbers will likely get you 20k/year and will be a lower COL than DC/NYC - if these are your options (with those numbers, likely so) try to minimize debt.... well, unless you're totally set on one of the three cities, then GW for DC, Fordham for NY, etc...

Re: 166/3.81 Fordham?
I'm in a similar boat, OP--same LSAT score, slightly higher GPA. It's definitely worth the application fee, and my fingers are perpetually-crossed, but I expect to be waitlisted as well. Maybe applying EA and having a great PS/unique reason for wanting to attend law school will tilt the odds in my favor. I doubt it, though.rad law wrote:It's barely a chance at all. Fordham: IN!
BC: IN!
BU: IN!
USC: IN!
UCLA:Maybe
GW: Maybe
The first four schools will fall in love with your GPA.
UCLA & GW are definitely possible but they might waitlist you because of your LSAT.

You could get into GULC part time unless it is significantly different as it is being ranked.

Re: 166/3.81 Fordham?
hey man thanks for the tip, I have not even though about GULC but if I could get in there part-time that would defntly be my choice. Are my numbers good enough, I don't have too much work experience except as part-time for an internet start-up the last 3 years. Is this really a possibility?

You'll be out at GULC PT. Their part-time numbers are extremely close to their full time numbers, 168s are being rejected, 169s are being waitlisted.sampras13 wrote:hey man thanks for the tip, I have not even though about GULC but if I could get in there part-time that would defntly be my choice. Re: 166/3.81 Fordham?
last cycle with my horrendous 164 and measly 3.6x, I got into USC off the waitlist (and I didn't even apply until the end of January). Based on how horrible my numbers were last cycle but me still getting the WL/in, I DEFINITELY think you are in there.HeavenWood wrote:USC's median LSAT (and magic number) is now 167. LSN indicates a maybe. Probably a WL. But worth the app.MissLucky wrote:last cycle with my horrendous 164 and measly 3.6x, I got into USC off the waitlist (and I didn't even apply until the end of January).
