Based on numbers, an assumption the OP wants the best school they can get into, and the way ED acceptances work. OP is much stronger at any T14 if they ED, and UVA accepts ED applications much later than Michigan, so I'd recommend EDing to Michigan by the Nov. 15 deadline. If they get into Michigan, great, if not, they still have time to ED to UVA after they find out. (They can even apply RD to UVA now, and change it to ED after they hear back from Michigan.)

It gives them two bites at the ED apple, and if they want the likes of Mich and UVA with their stats, that strategy gives them the best overall odds of getting into at least one of them.
