Apply now with a 167 or later with a 170? Forum

How much of an advantage is there to applying now with a 167 taken once vs. after December score release with 167/170? My PT avg was 172 before the October test, and nerves got the best of me section one leaving me guessing on the last four questions and I couldn't finish RC section though I usually do.

Retake or apply now and give up on T14 dreams?

GPA is 3.53 so I definitely need above 170 to have a solid chance, I know I'm capable of it, I'm just worried that applying late in the cycle would leave me without a T14 regardless.

To be realistic you have almost no shot as it is with your GPA and LSAT at any t14. I would retake.

Even bottom T14 will remain a dream unless you get 170+, Even with a 170, it would be mighty late come January. So 172+ is what you should be aiming for so you could realize that dream.

Obviously it's not a given. He thinks he can do better and he wants t14 it makes sense to take at least one more shot at it.

No, I am just working within the scope of the hypo. lol

OP seems set on a top school, so there really is no other option with the GPA.

Exactly. I too am considering retaking (I got a 168) but I am not yet sure I could crack 170. I am going to work hard over the next week and see if I can consistently score 172+ before I make my decision.

Any difference between applying soonish then adding score (slightly faster?) and applying in January after getting score?
