3.6/161- Am I totally screwed?
3.63 - Graduated from Honors Program from solid private undergrad
Work Experience in corporate firm
Coauthored paper published in T10 law review
Incredible LORs from very solid recommenders
Tons of volunteer exp., including two year mission.
And-- cancel, cancel, 161. Kill me. PT avg. 171.
Do I figure out a way to retake again? Oh man. I don't think I can handle it.
Or do I take my employment chances at San Diego, Pepperdine, SMU, or Houston, hoping to get into corporate?
Do my softs even matter?

Unless you retake, you're looking at USD or UH.

Your softs do matter but will only help you so much. Where do you want to practice? With that score you are looking at only regional schools, nomatter what you might hear about dumpsterfire schools like syracuse having better national mobility. Consider FSU or even Tennessee as they are in your range as well.

These are my exact numbers.
Also, your softs are almost the exact same as mine.
I'm shooting for similar schools, but I feel like "I'm totally screwed," as well...

you will get into at least some of the schools and prob wl at worst for the other ones...
However, I would be extremely cautious about going to those law schools. Please do more research on the schools. Do not take the employment data at face value. Proceed with extreme caution!

I know you say this on pretty much every thread, but I'm thinking I agree with you.rad law wrote:Figure out a way to retake again.
161 is lower than all 30 of my PTs, so I'm confident I can do better. But man, not looking forward to round 4.
Any advice on how to get a school to petition for you?
Anyone have experience applying to schools that their numbers match (i.e. USD, UH) while retaking and hoping for better?

Any thoughts on how to get a school to petition LSAC for round 4?

yes. just tell them that you are interested in the school and that you need a retake becuz your lsat is low. If you are paranoid about the school caring, then email a school you aren't interested in.
