I think you have a good range of schools, from T14 to T50. You'll get in to several. URM admissions are hard to predict, so check last years's LSN graphs for each school and see what the URM admissions were to give yourself an idea.

what are you talking about? he has a chance at all the schools. Not saying that you will get in, but you should apply. Apply to the lower t14 to vandy and every school in the wustl/emory/nd/uiuc range. You will get something.....

Dude, a 156 at Emory, Cornell, or GT? Are you serious? I don't think so.

I would take the DEC lsat. Get 2-3 more points and half of the T14 is in play with some scholarship money!
WUSTL. Check this guy out.

I can't get over the 156. I could see it if he had a 160, but a 156? Good luck!thexfactor wrote:Hes URM. Check Lawschoolnumbers. + he has work experience.DukeCornell wrote:thexfactor wrote:DukeCornell wrote:Schools:

^^This I can agree with. I'm thinking he needs a 160. I'm sorry, 156 is not going to cut it IMO. I would take the December Lsat.

Hey thanks for sharing that profile, gave me some type of idea of where I could POSSIBLY land. I agree with you guys, a higher LSAT would help a lot. UNFORTUNATELY I don't think I could mentally get in the zone to take it again since work has gotten so crazy lately.thexfactor wrote:I would take the DEC lsat. I plan on throwing Vandy on my list and about 10 more schools in the top 50 range too. Thanks!

If you could retake and get up into the 160s, you'd have a good shot at T14.
I'm concerned by that GPA, it's a bit low; AA males sometimes get into top schools with GPAs that low, but rarely, and with a 160+ or higher LSAT. I think having both a GPA below 3.3 and an LSAT below 160 might doom you at the likes of Georgetown and Cornell.
Looking at Georgetown, the only acceptances (and these are URMs) I see in the last 3 years who have below-160 LSAT scores all had 3.7+ GPAs.
I'm not saying don't apply, but I am saying T14 is likely out of your reach without a 160+ LSAT score, and you should just be aware of that.

Yeah you're exactly right Van...my GPA is holding me back. Didn't think I had much shot at T14 to be honest. Cornell is just the reach beyond reaches.
Per any other program, do you think the fact that I was a Business Management major adds any cushion to the low GPA?
