174 / 3.58, non-URM, otherwise average, chance me?
174 LSAT
3.58 LSDAS GPA
non-URM
2 years WE at a non-profit
Good PS
Average to below-average softs
Average to below-average LORs
Graduated in three years
Chance me?
Applying to CCNMVPBND
Any hope of money at Penn or Michigan? I wrote Why X? statements for both. If not, should I ED to Columbia or NYU if I really want one them, or am I okay with RD?
Thanks

Unless you really just don't want to go to HYS, it still seems like they'd be worth the app fee. You never know, no matter how unlikely it seems.

I don't think I'm getting into any of HYS with a sub-3.6 GPA unless my LSAT is 180.

Bumping this.
Where am I getting money from lower T14? If I don't want to go lower than MVP, is there a chance of money from them, or should I just ED to one of CCN because I assume I'll pay sticker at any t10?

HYS are a waste of time. 3.58/174 should be good shot for NYU RD. With CLS or UofC, though, ED would probably be needed for a good shot, mainly because it is later in the cycle (people who RD'd with your numbers and got in applied at least a month ago last cycle).

Unless the application is free I wouldn't bother either. They like to send people emails suggesting people apply but it's really just a way for them to reduce their acceptance rate and make some money off of application fees.sgtgrumbles wrote:I don't think I'm getting into any of HYS with a sub-3.6 GPA unless my LSAT is 180.
Your likely to get in pretty much anywhere bottom t-14 if you play your cards right and you really do have strong softs and the WE you said you did. That being said, I am guessing you will get some mixed results, maybe some waitlisting. That's the nature of splitters though.

Not a sure thing, but you have a shot at CCN, and possibly money from MVP (especially M).

According to the TLS graphs from last year's cycle, Columbia didn't start rendering RD decisions until January; UofC started in mid-December. Given that, will a mid-November application submission really hurt me? On the other hand, NYU did most of its RD admitting in mid- to late-November.dissonance1848 wrote:HYS are a waste of time. 3.58/174 should be good shot for NYU RD. I would ED at Columbia or NYU if you don't mind forgoing money at a lower T14.

Substantial money from M last year with similar story and stats (GPA actually slightly lower). Didn't apply to V. Definitely possible to get some with your numbers.
