Re: What should be my ED strategy?
UVa ED now definitely. There is a small chance that you won't get your UM ED back in time to make GULC's ED. So either UVa --> UM --> GULC, or UVa --> GULC.

OP is below median at UVA and GULC. That's pretty much a waste of an ED.bk187 wrote:UVa ED now definitely. There is a small chance that you won't get your UM ED back in time to make GULC's ED. So either UVa --> UM --> GULC, or UVa --> GULC.
I'd ED at Mich, because there is somewhat of a chance.

There is a small chance at UVa. With 15 day or less turn around you don't think it's worth it to do that now and then UM afterwards?Desert Fox wrote:OP is below median at UVA and GULC. Waste of application fees. UVA won't let a non URM in without being 170+ or 3.85+.bk187 wrote:There is a small chance at UVa. Re: What should be my ED strategy?
It's easier to get in, but they still protect their median. Though a 169/3.15 got in last year. But it was someone out of school for ten years.SHANbangs wrote:what about GULC part-time? Isn't it easier?
Check if GUlC has their late ED again this year. If so UMich->GULC is the way to go.

Maybe but UMich's ED doesn't last past November. So you get two shots instead of one.

Re: What should be my ED strategy?
3.24 vs 3.35 probably won't change your strategy much. You're still above 3.0 but below 25th percentile, iirc.SHANbangs wrote:Well this changes things. My LSDAS GPA is actually a 3.24. I received my academic report today. I might try to change things by talking to them over the phone, but that's a losing battle. Anyways, with a 3.24, 169, is there any point in EDing to UM? I checked LS Predictor and my chances for ED GULC Part Time are still a "strong consider". Should I just run with that?

Re: What should be my ED strategy?
I don't think it makes much difference whether you ED to Michigan or GULC PT, because your GPA is far below Michigan's unofficial cutoff, and you're below both medians at GULC (which matters even for PT since US News started using the entire class's numbers).

Does that just mean at the same time? Hard to tell.
Thanks.
