top 10% is actually probably not necessary. Top 10% would likely get you into far better schools than either Arizona or ASU. Top 25% maybe top 30%, though someone please correct me if I am off base.

I agree, especially considering OP is Arizona resident and 70-80 is not that much worse than 30-40.

Top 10% will get you into way better, maybe even cracking the top 20. (Mostly WUSTL, you'll get a look from Vandy but that's probably pretty hit or miss.)

But since that isn't the question you asked: I would guess top 30% will give you a good shot. Top 20% I would be pretty surprised if you didn't get in. Top 10% you are a Lock of the Week.
