Retakes and Harvard Acceptances
I am retaking in October in an attempt to improve my LSAT.
For anyone lurking around that has applied and been accepted to Harvard with a retake, I am curious to know your two scores and what other factors may have played a part (what you think could have helped) in your acceptance. LSN is of no help here because I know some people on the website have chosen to omit the fact that their higher score is a retake.
Thanks in advance. I am interested in what score on the upcoming LSAT would give me a fighting chance.

If you're gpa is at the median, I would say you need at least a 173-174.

I think I am barely above median (have 3.91 and median is 3.9)?

Yeh then it's all about hitting the median LSAT which is I believe a 173. It may have gone up though.lawyerwannabe wrote:I think I am barely above median (have 3.91 and median is 3.9)?

Would a higher score be necessary considering a retake? I have seen evidence that Harvard averages and other evidence that they do not. I am having trouble locating people talking about their multiple LSAT scores, what they were, and being accepted into Harvard.

Re: Retakes and Harvard Acceptances
i am a reapplicant too so i kept up with the harvard applicants last year. from what i saw, it varied from person to person but i think you should be fine if you hit 173+ since the averaging wasn't that absolute as in the past cycles. With that being said, i would see people with a 164 and 172 get in while people with 170 and 175 get rejected so it really depends on you as an individual applicant.

Re: Retakes and Harvard Acceptances
I was admitted last cycle in the first wave of Nov acceptances with a retake (163 -> 175 with two years in between the two scores). I would guess they don't average since that would put me at a 169 with a slightly below median GPA. I didn't feel like any of the schools I applied to seemed to be treating my application like they averaged the two scores.
