172/2.9 female URM- Chances?
I have no hopes (nor desire) for most schools in the T14 (although UVA is my SUPER stretch. I grew up in VA and was accepted in undergrad but didnt attend), but I do want to get into a decent school. I currently live in DC and wouldnt mind being here long-term. Im currently shooting for St. John's or Temple, but I fear I may be low-balling it and leaving better schools on the table.
I have 3 summer internships (2 in government contracting, 1 in investment banking) and 3 years working for the men's basketball team. Im applying straight out of undergrad with a Finance degree. I plan on submitting an addendum for my low GPA (personal health issues and mother's brain cancer), so hopefully that will help out. I also have a fee waiver, so application costs are not a factor. As stated above I am a URM candidate (half black, half Hispanic).
Thanks in advance for any help! It is greatly appreciated.

You will definitely get into the T14. Go there or a strong regional on a good scholly.
UVa isn't really a stretch.

Apply to UVA (and other T-14's). Your LSAT score will help you with reaches.
You are underestimating the value of a high LSAT score.

You can get UVA, without an ed i think. Maybe a few above UVA, probably a few right below.
I would make G-town your center and spread out into both directions from there with about 6 schools in both directions. Hell, just apply to the top 14 and pick a couple others like iowa which might give you a very decent scholarship.

2.9/172 AA?
Apply to the entire T14. Email the admissions office and request fee waivers. Good luck!

I would be sure to apply to NU despite the lack of more formal WE. Assuming AA or Hispanic, I know someone with a very similar stats / background who was admitted and received $20,000 / year.
