Chances for T14? (low GPA, high LSAT) Forum

A fairly typical "splitter" question:

I have a GPA in the low 3's from one of the top four liberal arts colleges in the U.S. I have been scoring between 172-178 on my practice LSATs (will take the test in October). Presuming I score in that range, what are my chances for getting into a T14 school?

Other possibly relevant info: wrote honors undergrad thesis, worked for a year in consulting firm, have good internships and volunteer activities, international experiences, etc.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, I scored in that same range on my practice LSATs, and when I took the LSAT I felt that I had done equally well. In reality, I scored a 164. I was expecting 170 at least.

100%... All you really need are some good PTs. Just write about them on the apps and you are golden.

Um, thanks all. I meant the question as a hypothetical. I'm well aware good PTs are not guarantees of a good actual test, just as I'm aware that the recommendations on TLS will not necessarily reflect reality. Gah.
