Could someone please direct me to a thread with all the school abbreviations that are used here, if it exists?
Its pretty damn intuitive...
Thanks. I guess my problem is not being familiar enough with all the law schools, such that seeing XYZ doesn't automatically ring a bell for X____ Y___ Z___. If there's no such list of abbreviations, I guess I'll just have to read through all the law schools a couple times a day for the next few days. Meh, work.

I think your best bet would be to accept a very large scholarship with no GPA requirement. This won't leave you with 0 debt but you could keep it at a very manageable amount (>40k).

Also, are you in-state anywhere useful?
Illinois, thanks for the help

If you look at the applicants on LSN who have between a 3.3 and 3.6 GPA and a 166 and 171 LSAT you have a really great shot of getting a nice scholarship form UIUC. Keeping in mind the very modest instate tuition of 20.5k a year that seems like a pretty sweet deal.

Then again maybe you've had enough of Illinois. I know I'm itching to get the hell out of my home state.

You almost certainly won't get a ride at OSU. They don't live giving them out. But this whole thread is really pointless, as TITCR:

2. Look at your scholarship offers.
3. Negotiate scholarship offers to see how much money you can get at your favorite schools.
4. ???
5. Profit.
Effort/fees spent on applications are insignificant compared to scholarship offers/three years of your life. Apply to as many schools as possible.

Full ride at a Cooley-ranked t14? Doubt it.
Maybe he could transfer in after a year at a T20 or so?

You will likely get a lot from Illinois. Definitely apply there.

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign seems like a good bet, but apply far and wide (scholarship offers can be unpredictable + it's good to have offers in your back pocket to help you negotiate money).

Also, in regards to your thread title: that's what she said.
