If you were consistently scoring 6 points higher, then yes, retake.

You definitely need to retake because you don't want to waste your GPA with a mediocre LSAT. Schools won't care if you have a 159/165. They will just care about the highest score. T-14 is still in play if you score in the high 160s regardless of the retake.

You might get in UF with those stats, but you shouldn't settle for UF if you want T14 and know you can score higher.

UNC - being out of state, I'd say your shot is close to nil.

Retake. The best schools for FL at probably T14 plus Vanderbilt and Emory, btw, if you have previous FL connections.

And you have a shot at UF (next best option), but a retake would lock it up.

Yeah thanks. I really like Vanderbilt!

would re-taking in october still give me enough time to be considered applying early?

Yes. If this cycle is like the last, a 167 is what you need. 166 for Emory.

I actually applied to Vanderbilt in mid-Jan (still not recommended), and was in with $$. That's where I'm going.

Yes. Just have everything else ready to go when the scores are released.

And thanks for the advice you guys.
