3.92 / 168 - Retake?

Post by rklafehn » Wed Jul 07, 2010 3:31 pm

Average softs, good LORs.

The only schools I am interested in attending are T-10.

Should I def retake? And what score would be needed to T-10 or T-6 based on it being my second LSAT?

Although my average was 168, I scored over 168 and became complacent with my score towards the end. I got -7 on RC and -6 on LR which I am fairly confident I can improve upon with my new motivation after taking a short break.

Not significantly higher (171). But I was above 170 a month before I took the test and believe I burned out. I probably studied 15 hours a week for two or so months and took 20 PTs all together. Like I said though, I started to simply accept that I was going to get some wrong on LR and RC (rather than study to be prefect) because I was too tired.

I also did not review my mistakes extensively.

I had your exact numbers and applied pretty late (Jan) and made it into UVA -- they were the only top 10 school I got, though, and I got waitlisted at Columbia, NYU, and Penn. If you apply earlier than I did, you might have a good shot without a retake. Some people with your numbers who applied early to Michigan got $ (and I'm jealous).
