UCLA/USC LAW CHANCES
Hi Everyone,
First time poster, long time reader VERY interested in Entertainment Law, want to see chances at the two best schools for it.
Stats:
Rising Senior at a top 20 Undergrad.
Just took the June LSAT = 164 intend on taking it again.
GPA = 3.6
VERY strong softs, especially relating to entertainment law subject matter.
Concentrating in Entertainment Law individualized undergrad program, with very related work/internship experience.
What are chances at each of these schools now, and what LSAT would you say I need to raise my chances. Willing to pay sticker price.

the gpa wont knock you out of the running, but that 164 will...study hard and bump that grade up, try to hit at least 167 for a chance, if you wanna actually feel confident about ur chances youre def gonna want 169+..
study hard...

Hey, I have the same stats as you and applied to both UCLA and USC in Januray and was dinged at UCLA and waitlisted at USC (still on that WL).EntLaw wrote:Hi Everyone,

What do you mean by dinged?
Also, I plan on getting my applications early. Literally the day they open and potentially applying early to UCLA. Would that change things?

dinged = rejected. Yeah, applying early definitely helps - I did see someone with our same stats in another thread get into UCLA ED (of course, we don't know his/her softs)EntLaw wrote:What do you mean by dinged?

Not much of a shot at either with your current score. You are going to a 167/168+ to be competitive at USC and 168+ to be competitive at UCLA. Applying early may help a little, but it won't be a game changer.

You'll need a 167-168 for USC and a 168+ for UCLA.
