3.4/167/URM -- shot at t-14?
I thought I would see what folks thought about my chances...
3.4 -- top 10 liberal arts college
167/161(1st time)
URM
I have pretty good softs --- raised my sisters practically(no father--absent mother), worked all through college, working for 3 years in politics in DC
I would like to aim for a t-14
Do I have a shot?

Your softs and your UG pedigree don't matter that much, unless you're applying for law school at your UG institution, in which case that could be a negative or positive.
What kind of URM are you? Different schools accept different groups of URMs at varying levels.
I'd say you might have a chance at the lower T14 if you ED/have a very strong PS. With your numbers, though, you're really looking at T25 unless you're an AA male.

I would say if you blanket the T-14, maybe ED at UVA and you could get an acceptance or two back.

Thanks for the input.
Would taking it one more time hurt or help my chances? I am thinking that if I were able to improve upon the 167, that the 161 would seem more like a fluke. I know I run the risk of hurting myself, but I want to make the most out of my chances at a T14.
URM -- Mexican.

Hopefully you can spell and express yourself in a more eloquent fashion though OP. To answer the question of whether or not you should take it again, comes down to how you were doing on PT's. Have you maxed out your potential? If you can improve another couple of points I think it would help, but at the same point how likely is it for you that you can do that? Those are the questions you have to ask.SuperCool23 wrote:With those numbers you can get into majority of the Top 10 skools, Fuck what they talkin about i am aiming for those numbers lol Good luck and try Harvard too sky a the limit for URM with those numbers
