Yeah if your looking for a full scholarship the marginal cost of applying to a school is much lower than benefit of maximizing chance at major $$$$ determine the worst school you would be willing to go to and apply at every school above

Very good advice.

A HYS admittance would give you leverage to negotiate scholarship money with the lower ranked T10 schools.

Case in point: a dude on here, SwimBrad(?), got into UChi and, months later, Harvard. Initially, Chicago only offered him 60k, assuming of course he wouldn't get into HYS. After he got into Harvard and subsequently notified Chicago of his intent to enroll there, Chicago offered him a full scholarship.

Executive summary: apply to T14. don't ask us to read tea leaves for you.

Anyways, I agree... blanket t-14 or so, cross fingers, pray, rub a lucky rabbits foot, and don't give up - my cycle didn't get interesting until the end of May

and remember- it's all just a game
