3.6/169 - Predict my cycle
About me - top 25 undergrad, DOJ work experience post-college, decent softs, good LOR, VA resident.
I plan on sending all of my applications in as soon as they are available and including a "why X" with each one.
What are my shots at the following:
UVA ED
GULC (ED if UVA dings me)
Northwestern
Michigan
Vanderbilt
BU
BC
Cornell
GW
Emory
Thanks!

Re: 3.6/169 - Predict my cycle
Schools I've looked into / applied to....
GULC (ED if UVA dings me) --In, no money
BU- In, $
BC- In, $
Cornell- In or waitlist, no money
GW- In, $
Just my prediction! I'm applying to all of those schools as well, only my LSAT score is 3 pts lower so I hope you get into all of them!!

Not that I know a whole lot about most of the schools, but it seems like everyone missed the OP's "VA resident" part. Resident, with GPA and LSAT within 50%-75% range? And ED? Apply before next August you're in at UVA.

UVA's median is 3.85 and 170. She is below both and is thus autodeny.upalittletoolate wrote:Not that I know a whole lot about most of the schools, but it seems like everyone missed the OP's "VA resident" part. The correct plan is retake and get 170 or better. UVA will give you money.

Where is this theory about being below both medians leading into autodeny from? Just curious.

Schools get ranked by their medians and a person with two sub median numbers must be balanced out with a person with two above median numbers. People with above median numbers usually require scholarships.nyk3 wrote:He* - sorry to correct you there, big guy.Desert Fox wrote:UVA's median is 3.85 and 170. If you are really close you might get waitlisted and you've got a shot at getting off super late, but your gpa is too low for that .
