"Best possible school" is pretty subjective-- best possible for you will mean in a location you might want to practice, in the type of urban/rural/suburban area you like, offering coursework that appeals to you, having a class size in which you'd feel comfortable, etc. If you're asking what the most highly ranked (by USNWR) school you can get into is...I don't know. WUSTL? USC? Plug your numbers into one of the calculators and check LSN.

By best i mean highest rank school.
What about my chances at schools like UC-davis, UNC, or U of Georgia?

I would focus on the T1 schools with a 163-164 LSAT median:
SMU 3.76/164
BYU 3.73/164
Georgia 3.70/164
Indiana Bloomington 3.70/164
UC Davis 3.62/164
UC Hastings 3.58/164
Washington 3.72/163
George Mason 3.72/163
Colorado 3.68/163
Wake Forest 3.60/163
American 3.39/163
SMU 3.76/164
BYU 3.73/164
Georgia 3.70/164
Indiana Bloomington 3.70/164
UC Davis 3.62/164
UC Hastings 3.58/164
Washington 3.72/163
George Mason 3.72/163
Colorado 3.68/163
Wake Forest 3.60/163
American 3.39/163

Unless you have something really awesome about you, Iowa would be the highest ranked school I would give you a good chance at. Though, BC is possible.dawb wrote:By best i mean highest rank school.

UC-Davis- in
UNC- if you are from NC probably in, if not, its a crap shoot.
U of Georgia- in with some money.

I think that's a really stupid metric, but LSP will give you as good an idea or better than any of us can. Try http://www.lawschoolnumbers.com too.

I'd say your sweet spot is high 20's to low 30's. W&M, UGA, IUB, OSU, Wisc, Iowa are all possibilities.

I think you have a pretty good shot at Wash U.
Nothing higher though.

Not with WUSTL's 2009 medians at 3.70/167 (and likely slightly higher two cycles later), since OP falls just short of both. WUSTL is a near slam dunk for most applicants hitting one median, though.Dr. Strangelove wrote:I think you have a pretty good shot at Wash U.

I'd predict in at Davis and IUB, both T30's.

If that's the case.. no wonder LSP seems to underpredict splitters' chances at WUSTL.im_blue wrote:Not with WUSTL's 2009 medians at 3.70/167 (and likely slightly higher two cycles later), since OP falls just short of both.
