Re: 3.77GPA
Law school predictor says 169+ for 'strong consider' and 171+ for 'admit'. I figure 170+ if you have decent softs?

Re: 3.77GPA
A 3.77 puts you above median (Michigan's median GPA is 3.67). Their 75th is 3.8, so you're below that. Collective wisdom is that being above both medians makes you auto-admit. The median LSAT for Michigan is 168. If you can score above that you should get in. Their 25th LSAT is 166. You don't want to score below that.
Regardless, the best thing for you to do is to try and get a perfect score. Aiming for anything less is just selling yourself short. Your GPA is very good and with a high enough LSAT score you could get into a better school or else get a nice scholarship from Michigan.

Mich is my dream law school and I'm planning on ED but money will be a factor and idk if I would get any $$ with 3.8+ and 171 doing ED considering they already have you locked upJoan Hollaway wrote:nopeMeechiganBoy wrote:Did you do ED?Joan Hollaway wrote:im going to mich with a $ and i had a 169 and slightly higher gpa. def write a why mich and good luck!

I don't know where you are getting your stats, but those are not the most recent stats for matriculated students. In fact they aren't even the stats from the past 3 years...KibblesAndVick wrote:A 3.77 puts you above median (Michigan's median GPA is 3.67). Their 75th is 3.8, so you're below that. For the Class of 2012, the 25th LSAT is a 167, the median is a 169, and the 75th is a 170. The median LSAT has been a 169 for over 3 years now...
The median GPA is a 3.7, not a 3.67. The 75th GPA is a 3.84, not a 3.80.

This cycle they've been rejecting a lot of 168ers, so I think OP needs a 169+, or at minimum a 168 since the GPA is below the 75th.

Re: 3.77GPA
They give merit and need-based aid to those who have already been accepted ED. One of my friends got 45k merit-based aid even after ED, although I'm not sure if they are inclined to give less because of ED.MeechiganBoy wrote:Mich is my dream law school and I'm planning on ED but money will be a factor and idk if I would get any $$ with 3.8+ and 171 doing ED considering they already have you locked upJoan Hollaway wrote:nopeMeechiganBoy wrote:Did you do ED?Joan Hollaway wrote:im going to mich with a $ and i had a 169 and slightly higher gpa. def write a why mich and good luck!
