I originally was a music education major at a small private school in Illinois, I enjoyed the analytical portion of music much more than teaching, and also the performance and composition portion. I went on to go to a paralegal program at a community college and am currently working at a law firm that represents condo associations. I am thinking about going to law school because I enjoyed the mock trial experience at community college. I currently live in the far west suburbs and would have to move to go to any of the schools except NIU.
Schools I am looking at
Loyola Chicago
iit/Kent
Depaul
Northwestern Univ
U of Illinois
NIU
Marquette
Also - would paralegal or music ed major count against me?
I am 27 now, plan on entering school around 28 or 29, does age count against me?
Would I be better of staying as a paralegal and not going to law school?

if anything, 28 or 29 would help you so long as you've done something since college.
as the line from oliver stone's w goes, "you can be president, george. but i don't know how to say this... you have to do something."
i know a non-URM police officer who got into fordham with a 155, and i am assuming it's because he had 30 years of experience as a cop to show in his personal statement.
