Some please let me know what are my odds!
Hey everyone, i will keep this short and simple.
Im graduating with a double major in finance and international business in the spring of 2011 and want to get into a top 20 law school right after, the problem is all my internships have been business related e.g. american express etc. and not law related.
here are my stats please let me know what my chances are and what i have to do to better my odds.
gpa: 3.76
lsat: 168
Thank you in advance everyone

Nobody will care that you don't have any "law related" internships. You're looking good for the T20, and probably even have a decent shot at the lower T14.eduardodmoreno wrote:Hey everyone, i will keep this short and simple.

You should have a decent shot at schools between 13-20 with your GPA and LSAT. Best way to improve odds are to get a 4.33 for the next few semesters (or retake LSAT and get 170+ if you want T10). An internship in law wouldn't do that much for you in comparison to improving your numbers.

Top 20 may be too arbitrary of a number for you but if you apply to southern cal, wustl, and the three schools tied at 20 you ought to get in somewhere. Depends on how many people apply next cycle though. Texas if your in-state is likely. Vandy and UCLA could happen. I would give Cornell a shot too. Check lawschoolnumbers.com out

Many Ivy League UGs do not have law schools. You have a decent shot at Cornell with your stats. An ok shot at Penn.
Go to hourumd.com, type in your stats and you can see what percent of people got in with your stats the last few cycles. Good indication of your approximate position with each school.

OP, look at the stats in my profile for a pretty good indicator of all the schools I applied to.
