University of Houston - Chances?
I am applying to the part time program with a 3.47 and 153.
Admissions Statistics:
Entering class size: full-time: 255, part-time: 76 (2008)
Median LSAT: part-time: 158 (2008)
Median undergraduate GPA: part-time: 3.37 (2008)
Analysis: I am above the median for GPA by a full .1, but below the median LSAT by 5, and around the 25 percentile.
What are my chances? Anybody else heard from UH yet? If so, how did they let you know?

I think it's going to be pretty unlikely. According to lawschoolnumbers Houston rejected a guy with a 3.5 and a 159

Re: University of Houston - Chances?
lawschoolpredictor has me at "consider" for the PT program, and I am in state so that may help.
Thoughts on how accurate LSP is? how much does being in state help? Also, how much does UG prestige help? I am at UT right now, which is considered a public ivey...

An LSP result is not the most accurate indicator, and a result of "consider" from it would usually indicate a likely application result of waitlist at best. Being in-state won't help much at U of H, as most applicants are in-state. UG prestige matters little in most cases, and especially yours, as your problem is more LSAT than GPA.jgrin wrote:lawschoolpredictor has me at "consider" for the PT program, and I am in state so that may help.
