3.9 GPA, 167 LSAT, Any insight would be so helpful

Post by josh1122 » Wed Feb 10, 2010 12:12 am

I have a 3.9 GPA from a tier 3 school and I scored a 167 on the LSAT. I applied to Georgetown, NYU and Duke in the first week of January. I also applied to Fordham, Cornell and GW. GW accepted me last week. What are my chances at the other schools? Thanks in advance for input.

In addition I am not a URM and I have interned in 3 law offices and the office of a state senator. I know there are websites for this stuff and I have looked at them, but I would like to hear from people who have gone through this. Thanks again for any help.

You'll get Fordham and Cornell, but not the rest. You would have had a shot at Michigan and Virginia if you had applied.

You could ED to UVA and have a pretty good shot depending on how many reverse splitters they have.

Thanks everyone. I just hope not going to a Top 14 school does not relegate me to being trapped with a huge debt that I can't afford for the rest of my life.

If you had applied earlier in the cycle, you probably would've gotten a full ride at schools like Indiana, UIUC, and Iowa. Plenty of T20-T30s will give you plenty of money based on your stats, but you will probably have to wait until next cycle to reap the rewards (if you're not dead set on beginning in the fall).

I also just got a full ride from Cardozo. I dont want to go to school away from NY unless I'm in DC. Still waiting on Fordham, Cornell, Duke, Georgetown and NYU (I know I dont have a strong chance at those last four schools.) I really hope Fordham doesnt reject me for applying so late.

Any stipulations for that full ride, i.e. class rank requirement?
