Re: 3.67/172
Hey thanks for the info! Unfortunately I am not ivy undergrad, but I am hoping that my leadership/work experience in school will help boost me a little. I'd love to hear back and have a decision to make! Congrats on all the acceptances!

don't worry about it. neither the ivy u-grad nor your leadership/work experience will do much to change your cycle either way. You will most likely be admitted to NYU and you have a shot at the rest of the T6 (albeit a long shot at HYS).terp200 wrote:Hey thanks for the info! I have similar stats to you, except I came from an HYP undergrad school. To date I have only heard from Duke and UMich after applying in December following the Dec LSAT.
Harvard rejected me. HYS is definitely out for you; they've been rejecting some really good applicants this year due to the larger app pool.

thanks for passing that along. do you think that applying so late (mid-Jan) will have a big impact on places like columbia?

I agree with your assessment that HYS ain't happening, but I disagree that they're rejecting really good applicants due to the larger pool. No data yet to support that. HYS rejects really good, qualified candidates every year. That's why they're HYS. This year's Harvard LSN graph is shaping up just like last year's...dms wrote:I have similar stats to you, except I came from an HYP undergrad school. Re: 3.67/172
Last year's application totals for Harvard were about 6600. This year, I received a rejection e-mail in early January saying that they had received over 7000 applications already. Numbers are up at all schools, and I have no doubt all schools are going to get a bit pickier with their admits.scribelaw wrote:I agree with your assessment that HYS ain't happening, but I disagree that they're rejecting really good applicants due to the larger pool. I would assume so.terp200 wrote:thanks for passing that along. do you think that applying so late (mid-Jan) will have a big impact on places like columbia?
