Hi,
I have a 176 and a 3.23 with a decent GPA addendum for a bad senior year, before which my GPA was a 3.5. What are my chances at the T-14? I'll be applying early next cycle.

how was it a bad senior yr if your senior GPA of 3.5 was > your overall 3.23? lollolson wrote:Hi,

No my GPA was a 3.5 before my senior year, and now I'm at a 3.23.

Before his senior year his GPA was a 3.5, so making the assumption that his senior year accounted for 1/4 of his credits, his GPA his senior year was ~ a 2.3.DoubleChecks wrote:how was it a bad senior yr if your senior GPA of 3.5 was > your overall 3.23? lollolson wrote:Hi,

The addendum could be a factor if it's a really valid reason. Even if it is the best addendum possible, the best you can hope for is a 176/3.5 combination.
My chances with an outstanding addendum:
Columbia: WL/Out
Chicago: WL/In
NYU: In

NYU has a much larger class that's about 2.5x the size of Chicago, so they have to take a lot more splitters to keep their medians up.lolson wrote:Why a better chance at nyu than Chicago?
