hey everyone, I live in northern West Virginia and one of the schools i applied to was WVU. My numbers are a little below the average accepted student at WVU, but I have been unable to find any 25th percentile numbers for GPA or LSAT (My GPA is only slightly below the average). But I didn't do very well on the LSAT (compared to ppl on this site at least) and I'm just curious if the fact that I am W.V. resident will give me a better chance at being accepted. I know for undergrad this helps but I'm not too sure about law school. Thanks ahead of time.
Also, the rest of my application i feel is pretty strong, I participate is a lot of service projects, am a history tutor etc. and have four strong LORS, two from history prof. and two from jesuit priests.
Does being in-state help your chances at being accetped? Forum

OK. I don't know about the in state thing as I think it really does vary from state school to state school. I checked US News for you and it looks like the 25ths for the 2008 (sorry, US News hansn't posted 2009 numbers yet) entering class were were listed as 150 and 3.1. I don't know if that info helps you but I hope so. Have you considered retaking in February? I believe tomorrow is the last day to late register. It might be worth it.blong4133 wrote:hey everyone, I live in northern West Virginia and one of the schools i applied to was WVU.
