167 / 3.39 Where to apply?

Post by giohas » Wed Jan 13, 2010 4:18 am

The 3.39 is the LSDAS GPA; I transferred to a 4 year and my GPA there was 3.19.

I've got good softs, but no real work experience. Thoughts on T25/20?

With those numbers I would apply from UCLA on down depending on your geographical preferences. It might be better for you to hold off a year since it's a bit later in the cycle now and schools can be more picky. Possibly consider re-taking in June to reach 170 and apply early next year instead.

OP, we have almost identical numbers. I'm pretty limited geographically, so my personal list is a bit skewed, but I would recommend one T-14 of your choice (cornell would be the best bet), followed by any of the following: reach-targets UT, Vandy, Minnesota, WUSTL, BU, BC, Emory, IU-B, GW, Fordham, & William & Mary, and safeties Washington & Lee, American, Wisconsin, Wake Forest, Tulane, Cardozo.

OP, we have relatively similar stats.

I blanketed 14 of the 15 through 30 and applied to Cornell and Duke as "superman" reaches. T30 is definitely doable, and I would venture that T20 is doable too.

I've only heard back from number 26 right now, but I am in there.

Ok. Well this is definitely encouraging; that's about the range I was looking at. Now I just need to get the apps in quick-like .
Thanks, all.
