155, 3.38 GPA, GSU part-time chances?
Hi,
Was wondering what you all think my chances are for getting into the GSU part-time program with an LSAT of 155 (I hope to retake to better my chances) and a GPA of 3.38. I want to know at this point (not even considering a retake) what my chances you think would be?

lawschoolpredictor.com has you as a "weak consider" which generally means about 25% chance of acceptance

so does weak consider generally mean little to no chance? i mean, should i basically forget about getting in this cycle period? or is there a decent chance?

if you're really set on this school, you should definitely get your app in ASAP. it'll be a reach but the sooner you can get it in, the better. hopefully you have some kind of good story for your PS or good work experience to give you a boost, but even without those things you'd still probably have an outside chance. don't worry about whether it's worth it to take the time to apply; if this is your dream school, make sure that is abundantly clear on the application, make sure everything is perfect, and get it submitted as soon as you possibly can.

Hi, thank you for your responses. I actually have already applied back in October. This is my 3rd year applying, but this time I just applied to their part-time program. I'm trying to figure out whether I should register for the June LSAT and buy the extra books I was going to buy now or if I should wait until February atleast before I spend the money on all those books? That's why I was trying to asses my chances at getting in and if you guys think it's basically nothing then I'm going to go ahead and buy them now.
I do actually have 9 months of law firm work experience while I was doing my undergrad at GSU and 6 months of professional work experience in marketing before I was laid off.
I was also a member of a lot of honors societies throughout college. I don't know if these factors help much or not.

This concerns me the most. It is traditionally more difficult for GSU undergrads to get into GSU Law. I have heard several stories of students that went to GSU for undergrad getting accepted to UGA but not GSU.Summer33 wrote: while I was doing my undergrad at GSU
I would also check into whether or not GSU averages LSAT scores. From the students I know, a 160+ with that GPA (or higher) got a lot of students in. Most seem to be in the very low 160's from my anecdotal experience.
