3.45/172 - Chances at Georgetown and UVA? Forum

With 3.45/172, how much of a shot would I have of getting into Georgetown or UVA? Any chance at all of seeing some money from either?

I'd say good at UVA. They seem to like splitters. Probably a decent shot at Georgetown too. But get your applications in fast...they both operate on rolling admissions and have given out lots of acceptances already.

You should have good chances at UVA ED, but most likely without $.

I'm 3.5/173 and heard yesterday that I was accepted to UVA so you definitely have a good shot there. It appears that you'd also have a good shot at Georgetown (I haven't heard from them yet)

You have a great shot at Georgetown IMO. UVA is a tough call...I'd say it might be a long shot this late in the cycle. Make sure to write a compelling "Why UVA" essay.

Thanks for all of the replies. I'm most likely going to apply early next cycle to maximize my chances of getting in, but I am still debating on whether or not to apply ED to one of those two schools (probably Georgetown). Any thoughts on that?

Apply to Virginia ED and get a response within 15 days. If you don't get in, then apply to GULC ED. Of course, this strategy assumes that you prefer Virginia to GULC, which most on TLS would.

UVA has removed their ED deadline, so if you want to ED this cycle you still can. You have a very strong shot at admission there if you do.
