Howard Law??? 148/2.95 Forum

I scored a 148 on the December LSAT and have a 2.95 GPA from an HBCU in atlanta. I really want to attend Howard in the fall for the J.D./MBA Program. What do you guys think about my chances? Should I retake, I know I can do better. I have a great connection with a very famous alum of HUSL maybe that will help??? Thanks a lot and GOD Bless!

i think that in order to give yourself a realistic shot, you need to retake and get at least a 152 (howard's median). obviously this suggestion is just based on the numbers. i don't know what impact your connection would have on your chances of being admitted.

it depends on the extent to which you think you studied for the december test.

if you only studied just casually a couple of weeks before the dec test, then maybe some smarter more focused studying over the next month could give you the bump you need.

if you studied for much longer than just a couple of weeks and felt like you exhausted much of your resources while preparing, it may be wise to take longer to evaluate where you stand with respect to the test and maybe devise another, potentially more effective plan of study.
