Hey all--
I recognize this post is late in this year's cycle, but I'm curious to see if anyone this year (or in previous years) has had any scholarship success (assuming admission) at any of the schools I'm applying to. Non-URM. Honors English major at state school (PSU Nittany Lions). Interesting softs, mainly writing tutor and honors thesis.
Applying to:
Cal-Berkeley
Chicago
Penn
Michigan
UVA
BU
GW
Fordham
Temple (safety)
Pitt (safety)
All of my applications are in, but I'm waiting on an LOR for the T-14 schools to go complete (minus Berkeley).
I'm more interested in getting a good education at a good price than trading debt for prestige (hence the UG state school). Any thoughts?

Stanford OUT
Cal-Berkeley IN
Chicago WL/IN
Penn IN
Michigan IN
UVA IN
BU IN $$
GW IN $$
Fordham IN $$
Temple (safety) IN $$$
Pitt (safety) IN $$$
It's always hard to predict at the top schools. I think you may get in berkley, chicago, penn, mich, and uva all, but you get easily get WL at several of them too. You may get a small amount of money from one or two of them (<15,000 p/y), but I doubt it. Why not apply to Vandy, Emory, WUSTL, or ND? You would likely get more money from any of them (>15,000 p/y) and they are better than your safety schools.

Thanks for the opinion. I'll probably send in a few more safety and reach apps this coming week with the possibility of app fee waivers coming early next week (Cornell & maybe a few 15-30's).

You may get a small $$ offer at lower T14s if they need your stats. You're fortunate in that you're at/above median in both categories for the lower T14 schools, so you're a good candidate for at least some money if they need you. It just comes down to whether or not they do.
