We have similar numbers. I think you'd have a good shot at SMU and a less than 50% at the others. However, it's entirely possible that one of those schools might admit you. They will take somebody like you this cycle, so why not you? I'm applying to Notre Dame with that thought in mind.Katherine wrote:The december LSAT didn't treat me nearly as well as I had hoped, but I time to apply anyway.
162/3.4 chances for SMU, Emory, Fordham (I wish.), BC
Also feel free to suggest other possibilities.
I'm applying to A LOT of schools in the hopes that a few of the top 25 will make a mistake and let me in. Ha ha. I'm also probably retaking in Feb to see if I can boost my LSAT score and enhance my position. Maybe you should consider that.

I tend to agree, but you know they will probably take somebody like the OP this cycle.tram988 wrote:I'd say almost auto reject at BC

Thanks for your thoughts. I'm undergrad at SMU so I'm really hoping to stay there or I'd really like to go to Emory. Any hope for Emory, UGA, UNC, Washington and Lee, or Alabama?

I just added SMU to my potential list of schools. It looks like a solid school and I like the idea of living in Dallas. I've heard good things. Where would you say SMU Law ranks in Texas, in terms of reputation?Katherine wrote:Thanks for your thoughts. I'm undergrad at SMU so I'm really hoping to stay there or I'd really like to go to Emory. The good thing about SMU is that it is the only law school in Dallas. Therefore it sets you up with some great Dallas firms for internships in the summer. If you are looking to stay in Dallas, I'd say SMU would be a good way to go.monkeyboy wrote:I just added SMU to my potential list of schools. I am in Texas too at UT and SMU is probably the 3rd best school here... 1. UT 2. Baylor 3. SMU 4. TX Tech... etc etc
My cousin is at SMU now her ugpa was 3.5 and lsat was 165... she was also business and plan 2 honors at UT which is unheard of so i dunno

Baylor ranks below SMU / UofH.
SMU and UofH are pretty much interchangeable, it just depends on what city you want to practice in.
