You seem extremely fixated on the fact that people find you slightly offensive. You'd think with a 4.0/179 you would realize why you're being interpreted that way...cornell wrote:dude did you even see page two? a person said I should burn in hell if my post is real, and you don't think that's offensive? btw I don't need social advice from you honestly, I'm comfortable with how I fit in.inchoate_con wrote:ha-ha, you're going fit right in wherever you attend! I'm going to have to go against the grain and say that Cornell is one of the better trolls on TLS.

I'm not fixated on that, in fact I'm only interested in reasonable responses to my question. It was the fact that a few people posted very offensive words at my question that I found uncalled for.BrownBears09 wrote:You seem extremely fixated on the fact that people find you slightly offensive. Re: 179/4.0
1. you'll get into anywhere you apply, after seeing your numbers and work experience at an investment bank.
2. I think you might get half rides at places ranked above top 5.
3. You will most likely get full rides at schools such as Cornell and other similar ranked schools.
4. I would recommend blanketing all top 20 schools, apply to all of them, since no one here can really tell you how much money you'll get from them, just apply to all and you'll be fine.

seriously. this is turning into a good one. I thought we derailed this with the anteater in the denim jacket and the monstrous bong, but against all odds cornell has taken control of the thread again.JazzOne wrote:I'm going to have to go against the grain and say that Cornell is one of the better trolls on TLS.

It's not that hard to get a thread locked.
Edit: Plus, I think this goes to prove that many TLSers respond to threads without reading what the hell is going on.

I agree, I think Cornell asked a legitimate question, that's why I gave him a serious response. And with all seriousness, I think some people on TLS are just too sensitive when they see a 179/4.0, and there's a tendency to dismiss people with such high numbers.JazzOne wrote:I mean, we could shut it down if we wanted to. lolFuManChusco wrote:seriously. this is turning into a good one. I don't think he'll ever be able to create a thread where eit isn't brought up.

You have 9 posts and yet you're already making sweeping and unfounded generalizations?cmu wrote:I agree, I think Cornell asked a legitimate question, that's why I gave him a serious response. Cornell buddy. I will give you a serious response. Seems like everyone is ragging on you. Not cool.
It's hard to chance those numbers given the apparent randomness of Yale and Stanford. That said, I can definitely say that your chances of being a total douche are at least 85%, possibly with a solid merit scholarship from the academy of douchebaggery. Just make sure to continue with self-celebratory forum postings and you should be a perfect candidate.
Good luck pal!

haha, I'm an idiot. totally scanned the thread and noticed a join date of sep 2007 rather than the thread date. thread was actually this month.
