off top of my head, i say 162/3.0 has shots at American, wake forest, tulane, maryland, SMU, ASU, Arizona, georgia, and perhaps wisconsin and george mason, didn't check LSP, just from what i seen

no not just a flame, 162 is like what, 87,88 percentile, and 3.0 is better than tons of ppl including myself, it's only "bad" cause it's on TLS, tons of ppl would trade for a 162/3.0, some of the schools maybe reaches like georgia, wisconsin, george mason, but SMU, ASU, Arizona, Tulane, American shouldn't be that hard for OP's stats

what r u talking abt sir? i tend to disagree, is 162 not near 90%, is 3.0 not an above average gpa, does that combo not have a good shot at some fo the lower T1s

You keep talking about percentiles like they matter. They don't. I don't care if OP's score is in the 10%ile or the 99%ile. What matters is whether OP can go to a good school for a reasonable price. Just because there are new, crappy schools opening every year to take in these sub-par LSAT scores doesn't mean the scores are any better. It just means that there are lots of crappy schools. No respectable school is going to even give 144/3.0 a second glance (or no school worth going to at sticker would take a 160/3.0). You're advising someone to go to a lower T1, presumably at sticker? No one with any clue about legal hiring would tell OP to go to a lower T1 at sticker. 200k in debt for a <10% shot at a job that allows you to pay that back? LOL no.

And a 3.0 is not an above average GPA. It is far, far below average for law students at respectable schools. If you have a 3.0 or lower, you had damn well better get an upper-160s or 170s LSAT or reconsider going to law school.

Also, do you think you could at least make an attempt at speaking proper English?

162 is at the 85.9 percentile. 3.0 is not an above average gpa. It isn't even 25% for ALL of the top 100 schools.

that being said the median score for all lsat takers is a 151. To get into a decent school and to have any shot at scholarship you need to be above each schools median lsat and gpa. Those numbers range depending on the school- check lsacs website and the schools website for current info. A 3.0 is a fine GPA- but not for law school. For law school a good gpa is anything above a 3.65. Again it depends on the exact school- but you have to remember that there are no prereqris for law school- unlike medical school where you need to take and do well in a bunch of science classes. FOr law school you need to graduate from an accrediated school. Your best chance at gaining admission to any reputable school is to aim for a score above their median LSAT score and apply early.
Not everyone is cut out for law school. If you arent willing to work hard to increase your lsat- maybe its not for you. There are plenty of other things out there- and other graduate programs you can look into if you dont want to re take the test.
