Ha ha, these are absolutely horrible predictions. Out at some he is almost auto admit to with a 168. Don't listen to those calculators, you'll get into almost everyone of these schools.isaiah6v8 wrote:so I left ? for you where all i could do was tell you about what LSP would say, the others are based on reasons I have seen either personally or on these boards. Are you talking about applying this cycle, or next year? If next year, I would be sure to get your apps in early and try to get a 4.0 for your last semesters. Anyway, good luck.

I have a worse GPA than you and I have been waitlisted to a top 50 school and got into 2 tier 2 schools. Waitlisted at other tier 2s as well, and my LSAT is 10 points lower than yours.prospectiveprospect wrote:What about gpa cut offs?Generic20101L wrote:Ha ha, these are absolutely horrible predictions. Re: 2.7/168
I would also throw Minnesota into that mix. Last year it would have been a no-go, but they've been friendly to splitters this year. Check out the LSN graph...isaiah6v8 wrote:i would say you have a chance at Bama and W&L too.prospectiveprospect wrote:So you think the only possible top 30 schools i could get into are uiuc ui and wustl?najumobi wrote:wustl is the best school you could get into. other good schools include illinois and indiana. your gpa is too low for the other top 30 schools.prospectiveprospect wrote:what are some better schools i can get into possibly

Dude, you're gonna get into the vast majority of those schools. Just chill out and wait. It sucks, but it's legitimate advice. I have several schools I applied to in October that I haven't heard from yet. It happens.prospectiveprospect wrote:anyone else have ins and outs?

Re: 2.7/168
I think you have a good chance at most of those schools, but going through a lot of threads I've figured out the cycle of a splitter is extremely unpredictable. I have the same GPA, and my PT scores consistently fall in the high 160 - mid 170 range. Would love to hear how your cycle goes when it is complete. Good luck!

Re: 2.7/168
Thats crazy. Florida is one of my reaches and I have a 2.6 GPA (may very well upgrade it though to above a 3.0 w/ the help of some community college courses). I would have thought scoring 5-7 points higher than their 75th would give you a pretty good/great shot.

Below 3.0 is dangerous. Schools rightly think you are lazy. A sub 3.0 will have a very random cycle. There are some lower ranked schools who will absolutely not accept one.BigA wrote:Florida rejected your 168? I've got a 2.8/176, and I will be going to Northwestern, but Notre Dame probably wouldn't accept me.

Re: 2.7/168
Are you saying that 3.0 is a significant dividing point? It seems like other posters here have suggested this as well. If so, then I should consider myself lucky because I am just above this mark. But it just seems like an arbitrary number to set. I mean why should the difference between a 3.05 and 2.95 be any greater than the difference between a 3.05 and 3.15, or a 2.95 and 2.85 for that matter?Desert Fox wrote:

3.0 is a significant dividing point. Mich, Penn, Uva, and Gtown all have it as an unspoken gpa cut off.BigA wrote:Are you saying that 3.0 is a significant dividing point? Re: 2.7/168
Is there a good reason for your low GPA? I had a 3.11 and a 167, but I wrote an addendum (medical disorder, long story). I applied late, so I haven't heard much. For what it's worth, however, I was auto-admit with some $ at W&L; application to acceptance letter was 4 days.

Re: 2.7/168
I had a 2.8/168 applied straight outta undergrad, and of the schools that i applied to on your list i got into American and Miami, havent heard from UF. Probably attending WUSTL which is pretty good for numbers like ours, consider applying there.
