Is this egregious Stanford trolling Axe? Dean Deal takes students files with her to Hawaii, so clearly it's more than numbers lol.KissMyAxe wrote: This is credited. Harvard takes people with numbers, they don't care about your softs. Stanford is not as softs-heavy as some people like to say, they just target high GPAs, which bodes well for you.
That said, I think people are being generous when they say you have above average softs. I can't speak for schools like Duke, but at YLS, those softs are well below average. I expect you to get into HS, but your odds at YLS are way lower than a coin flip. I think mylsn's 10-15% is pretty accurate. If you want YLS, I strongly advise you to take a year to get some work experience, and I'd also use the time to retake the LSAT. Your current score is good, but it doesn't match your GPA. But if you're debt averse, you might just want to let it ride since I fully expect you to get some full-rides in the T14. Congrats on the numbers.
Anyway, I could not agree more, an impressive soft at Yale is something far, far beyond what you would think ex ante. It's way more than being really involved at school.
