I'm going to go ahead and give you a BigZuck guarantee that if you score a 165 on your third take there will be no negative consequences. Schools that would accept you with a 167 don't average scores, they only take the highest. And if they tell you something different, they are lying to you. I am not lying to you.nycgirl2014 wrote:There really isn't a downside if I slip on my retake and say get a 165? I'm a little skeptical...the thought of improving my chances just by getting a 168 is motivating me though.
Also is Penn/Virginia ED totally out of the question with the 167? Again let's just hypothetically say at sticker.

I would retake because if you get 169/170 it will mean a lot of $$$ in the T14. And if you don't improve it will not hurt you.
Also, why are you applying to law school given that you are at a hedge fund now? The conventional wisdom is that business/finance is a better path than law in terms of $, quality of life, ability to retire early, etc.

I wouldn't doubt your testing abilities with a 3.75 GPA...while not a 3.9+ , it still is very impressive.
I always looked at a differently, being competitive one of my LSAT motivations was not wanting to waste my GPA/and realizing that people I who I outperformed in UG could wind up in better schools with more importantly better post grad jobs/better scholly $$ because they studied harder than me for one four hour exam.
